Kevin Serge Durand (born January 14, 1974) is a Canadian actor known for his roles as Joshua in Dark Angel, Martin Keamy in Lost, Fred J. Dukes in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and the Archangel Gabriel in Legion.
Durand was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School in Thunder Bay.
Durand is well known as a chameleonic character actor and has played series regulars on shows such as James Cameron's Dark Angel as Joshua, Agent Jay Swopes in the American miniseries remake of Touching Evil, as well as guest roles on CSI, CSI: Miami, ER, Without a Trace, Dead Like Me and others. He also recurred on the television show Stargate SG-1 as "Lord Zipacna".
Durand appeared in the hit television show Lost during its fourth and sixth seasons, in which he played as the antagonist Martin Keamy (Martin Christopher Keamy) for 10 episodes.
Durand's first big movie break was when he was cast in Mystery, Alaska. He has acted alongside Ashton Kutcher in The Butterfly Effect as cellmate Carlos, the Chicano who aids him against disgruntled Aryans in lock-up. His other film credits include the role of "Tree" Lane in Mystery, Alaska, Booth in Walking Tall, sidekick Red in Wild Hogs, the psychotic neo-nazi Jeeves Tremor in Smokin' Aces, the title role in Otis E., the Archangel Gabriel in Legion, Little John in the yet to be released Robin Hood and the hired thug Tucker in the remake of 3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Due to Durand's height at 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m) and his muscular frame, he often plays thugs and law enforcement roles.

Knowing many Hollywood actors the way I do and what they go through, for anyone who's made a name for themselves, to be able to keep so private is something else.
It's not easy to do, so kudos to Kevin for being able to keep so many mysteries!

i grew up with kevin in thunder bay; he has always been one of the most friendly people with a great sense of humour. he could make anyone laugh at any time! it was obvious he was going to be a star, even in high school. he took risks that most teenagers are afraid to and had the family to support him. he has remained humble and down to earth. even now, when he makes his way back to thunder bay, he always gets together with his friends and sits back for a few beer and good times. he might be a huge star, but at home, he's just the goofball we all grew up with

I watch him in interviews and I've heard numerous stories from fans and they all said the exact same thing. How being a star didn't effect him in a negative way and he still remains the same ol' Kevin you all know and love. That's just great. ;D
